My Experience

I'm actually scared to post this but I met Whitley through random duos back in January. I had just started streaming a week or so before and had around 30 followers on Twitch. Whitley helped me get to 50 followers to get me affiliated, which I was VERY grateful for. We became friends and played together frequently.

One night with a few of his friends we played Never Have I Ever and later in the night he asked for my number, which I gave to him because I honestly didn’t see anything wrong. Later, when it became known that we were kind of talking, I had been told by many of his friends and mods to not give him any attention because of how “egotistical” he was and I really should’ve listened.

Later that night after playing the game with everyone, Whitley and I talked on the phone. A conversation about my voice was brought up and I explained my frustration at the time that so many people say disgusting, sexual things about my voice on stream. I told him that one friend I played with told me I sounded like a “sex operator” and how I was kinda taken back by it and super insecure. He replied with complimenting my voice and how he “knew” that I talked that way on purpose to him to which I replied no, that it was literally just the way I talk. He then continued to say that he had wondered what it would sound like if I was talking in a sexual way and asked me to try for him. I said no. He then said to me, which baffles me to this day, that my voice made him “hard.” I was so taken back and honestly speechless that I didn’t respond. I was so uncomfortable but brushed the comments off when in reality I shouldn’t have let it go. It’s disgusting and insane to me how someone can be so comfortable in saying such things so casually over our first phone call.

He had asked for my PayPal one day. I said no several times, saying I didn’t want him to send me money so he went out of his way to go to my stream and donate to me. He told me to buy flowers. He made sure to tell all his viewers of the gesture he did, which I didn’t mind, but looking back at it he always had to tell everyone of the ways he uses his money. That’s his trademark.

A week or so later I texted him and explained to him that it wasn’t going to workout because I was not really ready for a relationship at the time.

A few days later, I received messages from a couple friends who watch his stream. He was bad mouthing me, including FALSE assumptions and claims that I was using him. He claimed he got me to where I was on twitch when he had only gotten me to affiliate, plus a few more, and I had worked my butt off streaming 13 hours daily to get to where I was and it was honestly insulting that he said this. Mind you, he said this whenever a friend of mine subbed. I was never in the equation whatsoever. He brought me up out of context. I privately messaged him to which he claimed he felt used for his money, which is not true. I blocked him and removed him on any social media platform I had and put it all in the past.

A few months later I found him in a random persons stream and he ended up apologizing to me that night and I really thought he had changed but it came to my attention a bit later that he had made comments about my body to his “friends” so I decided to just cut him off for the final time.

Now, I can only imagine how uncomfortable I’d be with the comments he made towards me if I was underage. People sticking up for him should honestly revaluate and educate yourself. The people that were most close to him are the ones that know him best, period.
