Those asking about Shadowplay, so Shadowplay has pros and cons.

Pro: Its free if you're using an Nvidia card, can't argue with that. Pro: Its easy to use. Pro: It can be setup to constantly record the last 20 mins of gameplay which is great for capturing cool moments.

Pro: And this is the biggest pro which is why I use it for Port Reports, it has MINIMAL performance impact so you can get pretty accurate performance readings. Now for the cons.

Con: Its very lossy. Now I've had people tell me you can go up to 130mbps with it which is ok, BUT, it wont actually capture at 130mbps in 1080p. Last time I used it, even if you set it to 130mbps, it would only capture at 50mbps in 1080p which is actually pretty low. I can notice the quality difference between close to loss-less footage and stuff that Shadowplay puts out. Its not like its awful or anything but its definitely noticeable and as a rule, you want to put in the best quality footage you can before you have to encode it for Youtube.

Con: It's for Nvidia cards, so if you're running AMD you'll have to find something else. The last con is that it doesn't work for every game. I actually wanted to use it to constantly record my Hearthstone games just in case something cool happened but for some reason it won't hook in to Hearthstone on my computer. Dunno why.

But yeah, Shadowplay is ok. Not the best, but not bad for free software. You can do very basic streaming with it too, though if you wanna do anything remotely advanced you'll want to look into learning Xsplit or OBS.
