How I would book the En Busca Final & MAKE Dragon Lee...

I presume the En Busca De Un Idolo final will end up Dragon Lee vs Hechicero. Hechicero is a lock due to voting & I can't see CMLL being dumb enough to have Dragon Lee lose to Cavernario and leave the results in the hands of the voting if they really want him to win. (But they did it with Mistico II two years ago...)

I also presume that no matter how talented Dragon Lee is he's gonna get boo'ed like almost all tecnicos in CMLL & be just another one of many flyers fans consider somewhat interchangeable. I think he deserves better and I have a VERY SIMPLE way to make him stand out a bit and *hopefully* get the fans on his side even though he'll be wrestling as a tecnico after the tournament.

On June 20th both Dragon Lee & Hechicero enter the ring for the finals. Dragon Lee has his maestro Negro Casas in his corner, Hechicero has his maestro Virus. But as they are doing the introductions Rush, the most hated person in Arena Mexico, walks to the ring & hugs his brother. He indicates he's happy for him and he wants to second him for the big match. There's a little disagreement between Rush/Casas & Dragon Lee calmly tells his brother Negro has been with him for the entire tournament and he's thankful for his brother's support but he wants Negro in his corner. Rush isn't happy but leaves.

They have the match, Dragon Lee wins.

During the post-match celebration Dragon Lee gets his trophy and dedicates it to his maestro Negro Casas. He presents him with the trophy. Casas, the most popular wrestler in Arena Mexico, gives a speech endorsing Dragon Lee as the future of CMLL & points out his issues with Rush have nothing to do with his support for Dragon. This of course bring out Rush who tries to start something with Negro. Dragon Lee gets in the middle to break it up and just when it looks like he's succeeding - Rush attacks Negro violenty. Dragon gets in Rush's face and goes to check on Negro which is when Rush attacks Dragon and gives him the double underhook piledriver or corner dropkick. However you want to do it. Rush then grabs the trophy that Dragon just won and dedicated to Negro... and smashes it into pieces. Then he cuts a promo on how his brother means nothing to him & he's gonna dedicated Negro's hair to Dragon when he beats him in September.

Voila. A star is *hopefully* created with Dragon Lee getting a huge win, getting endorsed by the most popular wrestler in the company & being disassociated from the most hated wrestler in the company - his own brother.

Honestly this is the most simple booking possible and I see no reason why CMLL can't pull this off exactly as described. Everything fits in their 80's style presentation of wrestling.

I really hope if they are planning on having Dragon Lee win they do something to seperate him from Rush because if not he's going to get boo'ed no matter how talented he is & fans will treat him as another kid born with a silver spoon... like his other brother Mistico.
